APC Inaugurates Interim Election Management Committee Ahead of Lower Level Elections.
Sierra Leone's main opposition party, the All People's Congress (APC), inaugurated The Interim Independent Elections Management Committee (TIIEMC) today, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, ahead of their lower level elections.
The 25-man Committee is in charge of conducting the Party's lower level elections.
By the end of this period, the APC's 21-man Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC) is expected to have completed the party's internal lower-level selections and National Delegates Convention (NDC) to elect new national executive officers and the party's presidential candidate for 2023. The Chairman of the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) set a deadline of 24 January 2023 for the party to complete all internal lower-level elections.
