Big Fish incident, a lesson for Sierra Leoneans

Big Fish incident, a lesson for Sierra Leoneans By: Kembay Those always clamouring for War after seen yesterday random shooting on Charlotte and Lightfoot Boston Streets in Freetown by a desperado should now know such is just a tip of an ice bag in a warfare.  Big Fish after forcefully snatching, the riffle from the female police officer didn't go on looking out for APC or SLPP but was determine to shoot at anyone who dare stand his way irrespective of your political loyalty, Religious trait, tribal or Regional connection.  The few minutes he spent with the gun while moving up an down, saw almost all the streets in CBD deserted with everyone indoor except the security forces who were positioning themselves at intersections point to end the menace.  What caused the desertion and the indoor staying was that everyone knew that either by mistake or intention coming in contact with Big Fish at that moment, would have been your end. That is

"Phillip Nevile the b*st*rd" Sylvia Blyden

PHILIP NEVILLE THE BASTARD AN AMAZING STORY OF PAINS, COURAGE & STRENGTH BY A WOMAN (SYLVIA OLAYINKA BLYDEN) WHICH IS WORTH READING RIGHT TO THE VERY END.  WOW. WOW. JUST WOW! Sylvia Blyden writes: My dear big brother Reverend Thompson, Thank you for your note and words of comfort which I appreciate so much. I will use this reply to also update this my special group of people in here. You see Sir, I'm very pragmatic and candid on issues like these. Philip Neville was nothing other than a BASTARD to many of his victims. His Family Members should be going down on their knees begging God Almighty to touch the hearts of his victims for us to continue forgiving the wretched soul of the dead man. Indeed, many of us had forgiven him and moved on from the PAINS he caused to us but honestly, it wakes up so much pains when we see those who ENABLED Philip Neville to launch such depraved EVIL now daring to condescend to talk down to his victims. My own case at the hands of Phil

Rooney cites two players who are superior to Messi and Ronaldo.

Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney asserted that Erling Haaland of Manchester City and Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain are currently superior to Argentina captain Lionel Messi and Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo. Rooney said that it would be extremely difficult for Haaland and Mbappe to have careers similar to those of Messi and Ronaldo. "Haaland and Mbappe, of course, the next two, at this moment in time, they're certainly better than Messi and Ronaldo," Rooney remarked on Sports18. But I don't think they'll be able to duplicate Messi and Ronaldo's professional careers. "What Messi and Ronaldo have done is unparalleled in the world of football," the former England international continued. I don't believe we will ever see Messi and Ronaldo perform at the same time in the same league for an extended period of time.

Alfred Peter Conteh writes to the APC membership

Alfred Peter Conteh’s Fight For Equal Access For All APC Members Continues. A message of concern.   21st December 2022.  Good Evening Members of the ITGC and Season Greetings to you all. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in advance.  I write to caution all of us, especially those tasked with the responsibilities of making decisions that will affect other comrades of the ITGC and the APC party as a whole and we must be aware that our decisions and focus as a committee must be for the general good of our people to leveling the playing field for all and not just few. The audio of Hon. Amb. Rev. Coleson Turay and the tweet purported to have come from the Secretary of the Committee in which a photo shows data entry staffs described as members working round the clock to enter some sort of data that we, including myself, the chairman of the ITGC are unaware of. This and other similar actions speaks volume to the lingering divide that some are more APC than others. Hon. Coleson Tu

The SL News Blog investigated the alleged corruption at IHPAU

The SL News Blog investigated the alleged corruption at IHPAU, which is part of the Ministry of Health and Sanitation.  By Julius Magona Sierra Leoneans are well aware that the SL News Blog is staunchly opposed to all forms of corruption; many issues relating to corruption are constantly forwarded to me for publication. Recently, documents relating to alleged corruption from the Ministry of Health and Sanitation were forwarded to me for review and publication. The document is titled; "Corruption in the Ministry of Health at IHPAU A case for the Anticorruption " As is customary, the SL News Blog blogging is distinctive and follows a variety of journalistic characters. As a result, I had to contact some officials in the aforementioned department, and these were my findings. 1. It is important to note that the said ineligible accounts for 0.4%. The APC Establishes an Interim Election Management Committee

APC Inaugurates Interim Election Management Committee Ahead of Lower Level Elections. Sierra Leone's main opposition party, the All People's Congress (APC), inaugurated The Interim Independent Elections Management Committee (TIIEMC) today, Wednesday, December 7, 2022, ahead of their lower level elections. The 25-man Committee is in charge of conducting the Party's lower level elections. By the end of this period, the APC's 21-man Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC) is expected to have completed the party's internal lower-level selections and National Delegates Convention (NDC) to elect new national executive officers and the party's presidential candidate for 2023. The Chairman of the Political Parties Registration Commission (PPRC) set a deadline of 24 January 2023 for the party to complete all internal lower-level elections.

Finally, the APC has buried the hatchet.

After a successful meeting at their party's headquarters, the long infighting among some senior members of the APC has finally come to an end. If you recall, there have been several court cases between factions of party members. One of the factions led by Alfred Peter Conteh won one of the court cases that resulted in the disqualification of the previous executive and the formation of an interim body to manage the party's affairs until their national conference. Alfred Peter Conteh, Interim Leader APC Alfred Peter Conteh was named interim head of the body. During his leadership, he was accused of engaging in anti-party activities, and some APC members claimed that he was a staunch supporter of an expelled member, Chief Sam Sumana. Chief Sam served as Sierra Leone's vice president during the Ernest Bai Koroma administration. He was kicked out of the APC party and later fired as vice president. Many Sierra Leoneans thought the decision was unconstituti

An APC member who is not a lawyer has spoken out against the APC's legal action.

Dr. Sylvia Blyden Chides APC Lawyers Over Ostensibly Faulty Papers at Supreme Court By Awareness Times. Popular female opposition politician, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden OOR, who is a senior member of the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC), has chided Lawyers of her APC party over what appears to be faultily drafted papers filed at the Supreme Court today 28th November 2022. Whilst openly supporting the objectives of the said Court Case, Dr. Blyden has chided the APC Lawyers who filed constitutional papers against the purported directives of His Excellency the President for the Electoral Commission to conduct elections next year by a Proportional Representation (PR) System. Writing on her Twitter account this evening, the female maestro who remains to be the only non-lawyer to have singlehandedly argued a Case by herself up at the Supreme Court (the highest court in the country), said that she has contacted one of the lead lawyers who filed, to alert him
