Chief Minister David Sengeh Joins Global Leaders to Mobilise $3.5 Billion for Education at UNGA81 New York, United States | September 23, 2026 Chief Minister of Sierra Leone, Dr. David Moinina Sengeh, has joined global leaders, private-sector representatives, civil society organisations and development partners in mobilising $3.5 billion in financing for education on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly (UNGA81). The high-level event, held at the ECOSOC Chamber of the United Nations Headquarters in New York, formed part of the global Multiply Possibility campaign led by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE). The UN Boss is happy with the FQE

In a bilateral discussion at the United Nations Headquarters on the eve of Leaders Day, Secretary-General Antonio Guterres praised President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone
 for his dedication to education and expressed interest in strengthening cooperation with Sierra Leone. Additionally, he expressed gratitude to President Julius Maada Bio
 for agreeing to serve as co-chair of the High-Level Steering Committee on Education.

    Dr Shuntay is very interested in working with the president Maada Bio and wife First Lady Fatima on beautification empowerment for the young ladies to give them opportunities to become self employed women to help in society and their families.
