SLPP Halts APC Voter Registration Rigging In Falaba

As the voter registration exercise enters the second day Sunday September 4, the vigilance of the ruling Sierra Leone People's Party in stopping the rigging plans of the desperate and frustrated opposition APC is beginning to pay off. Already large numbers of under aged registrants have been intercepted at registration centers in the western area and north of the country since the exercise started yesterday September 3.

Today in Falaba District, a young girl was caught at one of the registration centers by the robust and vigilant SLPP monitors, carrying a fake birth certificate which makes her eligible to vote in next year's elections, as the forged document makes her 18 years old by April 2023.

When interrogated, the young girl said she is the daughter of a Mr. Mohamed Turay, the former principal of the Falaba Secondary School who had resigned his job to vie for the APC symbol in Constituency 040. She further disclosed the forged birth certificate, which was issued at the Wellington Community Center in Freetown, was given to her by her mother today 4th September 2022.

The SLPP monitors did not allow the girl to be registered and have handed her over to the police while they have gone in search of the mother and father who have gone into hiding on hearing the news of the arrest of their daughter.
Reports filtering in indicate a robust posture by the ruling SLPP in frustrating the voter registration rigging plans of the APC in their strongholds. They teams can be seen all over the place and watching every step - right or wrong.

He accepted the cash and fled without telling them where he was.  The m
