Big Fish incident, a lesson for Sierra Leoneans By: Kembay Those always clamouring for War after seen yesterday random shooting on Charlotte and Lightfoot Boston Streets in Freetown by a desperado should now know such is just a tip of an ice bag in a warfare.  Big Fish after forcefully snatching, the riffle from the female police officer didn't go on looking out for APC or SLPP but was determine to shoot at anyone who dare stand his way irrespective of your political loyalty, Religious trait, tribal or Regional connection.  The few minutes he spent with the gun while moving up an down, saw almost all the streets in CBD deserted with everyone indoor except the security forces who were positioning themselves at intersections point to end the menace.  What caused the desertion and the indoor staying was that everyone knew that either by mistake or intention coming in contact with Big Fish at that moment, would have been your end. Kailahun District Descendants Pledges full support for IGP Sellu

Police Headquarters, George Street Freetown, Tuesday 13 September, 2022. A cross section of the Kailahun District Descendants Association (KDDA) executives in a courtesy call visit to acquaint and congratulate, have pledges to support the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr.William Fayia Sellu and other security agencies by cooperating with them.
Head of the delegation cum Chairman of KDDA, Rtd Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Morie Lengor informed that the gathering was a family meeting of kailahun District descendants.
KDDA, he said was apolitical as it aims and objectives are unity, welfare seeking and the development of the District. 
Rtd AIG Lengor disclosed that the association was in preparation for it Annual General Meeting (AGM) and would therefore need security coverage as series of activities will take place.
He called in the IGP as son of the soil to fully come-on board, so that his presence would be felt.
Engagement with the youths to keep them in positive thoughts he stated is ongoing.
"Let me conclude by assuring you again that we will do everything humanly possible, to see that you have a successful tenure" he said.
Secretary General of the association, Edward Jusu in his contributions, also discloses that their visit was a tradition for all descendants from Kailahun District who have been appointed by His Excellency President Bio. 
An action which he said send out a sign of appreciation to President Bio and help bring the appointees closer to their roots and make them known to the district.
Other speaker called on the IGP to join them in rebranding the cultural heritage of the district.
In his response, IGP William Fayia Sellu expressed happiness in having descendants of his district coming to pledge support to the security sector.
He informed that, he is a  born of Bondu village, about three miles off Koindu town, Kailahun District.
He add that after his birthday, his late father who was a corporal in the police was transferred to the Kenema Division where he grew up.
He recalled one of his visit to Koindu with his late Uncle George Sellu whom he said was a financial secretary at Njala.
He added that, prior to their visit, he was working on a visit to Kailahun.
He recognizes Rtd AIG Lengor's passion for the SLP, noting that even though he was retired, that did not stop him from rendering positive assistance to the force.
He concluded by pledging support to the association for the progress of the district.

A scammer from Sierra Leone has been captured by Guinean police.

  The person in the picture is actually Abdulai Jalloh, despite the fact that he is identified as a lecturer from Njala University under the name of Dr. Kanu. In early January of this year, he posted in a WhatsApp group in Kambia that he had scholarship chances and could help people acquire government pin codes, among other things, but that the offer was only valid for those from the South and east.   Someone sent him NLe1,500 for overseas study without realizing he was a scammer.  The scammer claimed that the entire application process for the scholarship cost 3,000 New Leone.  Later, the contacted person realized that he was not who he had been representing himself to be, and he immediately blocked the victim of his syndicate.  He once more perpetrated the same crime against Molai, another individual, and someone else.  In the pretense of an international scholarship, he demanded 3000 New Leones from each person.
