After a successful preliminary hearing at the lower court, Amadu Bah alias LAJ has been committed to the high court for a criminal trial by Magistrate Mark Ngegba, the principal magistrate of Pademba Road Court No. 1.
The magistrate determined that the prosecution had presented enough evidence to support referring the case to the high court for a criminal trial.
Alhaji Amadu Bah was detained on June 12 on suspicion of robbing a Leonco gas station at Congo Cross violently. He has remained in custody ever since.
According to court documents, the accused appeared in the magistrate court 14 times. While the case has been referred to the high court, he was nonetheless denied bail once more today.
