Families of Police who were murdered in the August 10 Insurrection meet with Executive Management Board (EMB) members

Police Headquarters, George Street, Freetown Monday 15, August, 2022 Director of Human Resource and other Directors of the Executive Management Board (EMB) of the Sierra Leone Police (SLP) have held a consolation meeting and a way forward with family members of the Six officers who were brutally murdered by mobs during the August 10 Insurrection.
The consolation was in preparation and mapping out the way forward ahead of the State Funeral for the deceased officers.

Addressing the bereaved families, Director of Human Resources, Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Patrick Johnson informed them that the pain for the loss of the officers was equally felt by the SLP especially it top hierarchy and the IGP, William Fayia Sellu.
He went on to say that family members should not be bothered over the funeral expenditure, noting that they died while performing their lawful duties and as such, government has assured of giving them a befitting burial.

He assured them of Police full support during this trying times and encouraged them to be strong.
AIG Aiah Samadia reiterate President Bio statements of making sure that all those responsible for the murder of the police officers are brought to book.
"President Bio statements was just a show of political will which has given us more zeal" said AIG Samadia.
He therefore called on the family members to also help with investigations by providing intelligent that may lead to bringing to book perpetrators.

Dr John Lahai drops a real clanger...lecturers react
