THE OLD SCHOOL LEGENDARY, BASE APHONYX AND OTHEOTHERSR REACT TO THE SIERRA LEONE MUSIC INDUSTRY'S CURRENT STATE.

Many opinions have emerged from the old school artists following the fund raising concept that was organized to aid Vida, a Sierra Leonean female musician, pay her medical fees.

When the concert was suggested, there was a rumored confrontation between a government-appointed official named Kao Denero as the Ambassador of Entertainment and Investment and the concert organizers. Kao Denero is another member of the old school.

A well-known musician named Aklass commented, and when carefully analyzed, his classical remark suggested that the industrial isn't going as planned, and that everyone should go back to the drawing board.

Another notable remark has been made by  Base Aphonyx, one of Sierra Leone's finest old school musicians and one of the few Sierra Leonean artists that everyone will want to mimic. He stated,

"AFTER RAMADAN RANT!!!!! LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR YA'LL FAVOURITE SUPERSTARS ARE STILL MY MENTEES ( MEANING) THEY STILL ASPIRE TO BE ME. I DONT HAVE TO SING OR RAP OR EVEN PERFORM TO BE FAMOUS I WAS BORN BLESSED. REMEMBER I CAN PUT CAREERS ON PAUSE I CAN EVEN PUT AN ENTIRE INDUSTRY ON PAUSE IF I CHOOSE. THIS INDUSTTY WAS BUILT ON OUR BACKS YA'LL STILL ACTING LIKE YA CAN MOVE IT WITHOUT OUR CONSENT. LETS CONTINUE TO PLAY. "SOMETEM NA WE GRAND PIKIN DEM GO KAM BENIFIT LEK DAVIDO AND WIZKID" LUNTA"

Dr John Lahai drops a real clanger...lecturers react

Evidence has surfaced that contradicts one of John Idriss Lahai's claims. And, as I've already stated, it's a clear sign that not everything he writes is true. He is doing the right thing, but depending entirely on rumor may jeopardize his kindness to Sierra Leone. Brima Ronnie Kargbo, a youthful and charismatic Sierra Leonean who works for NATCOM as the Director of Administration and Human Resource Management Director, was featured in a publication by John Idriss Lahai. In an exact paraphrase of his "nemakui" English writing skills, Lahai claimed: "Brima Ronnie Kargbo indeed started his Bachelor's degree studies at Njala University. It is also true that he abandoned the course halfway and moved to the UK (this was during the latter part of the civil war: 1996/1997-ish). As such, what is not true, and for which Njala University should investigate (to verify my claim) and, thereafter, sue Brima Ronnie Kargbo for forgery of their certificate (a
