Turkish Ambassador Pays Follow-up visit to IGP on PIKM Regulation By Kembay Police Headquarters George Street Freetown, Wednesday 28th February, 2024 Her Excellency the Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Madam Sibel Erkan has visited the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. William Fayia Sellu to know the SLP stands on the Police Coordination and Cooperation Center (PIKM), ahead of the 5-6 May and 15-17 July, 2024 OIC meetings in Banju and Yaounde respectively.  In her presentations, Her Excellency Madam Erkan discloses that, her visit was to know if the SLP is interested in being part of the Police Coordination and Cooperation Center (PIKM) establishment following the 13th Summit  heads of States and Government of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). APPLICATION OPENS FOR STATE LAND

APPLICATION FOR STATE LAND

The General Public is hereby informed that the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning has identified plots of State Lands in the Western Area for allocation to Sierra Leonean.

In continuation of the successful LAND RAFFLE MODEL that was introduced in December 2021, the Ministry is inviting applications for State Land Lease from Sierra Leoneans in the following categories:

1. Civil Servants
2. Security Forces (Military, Police, Fire Force, Prisons) 
3. Medical Personnel
4. Teachers/Lecturers
5. Journalists/Press

Citizens in the aforementioned categories should have served in their respective careers for a period of at least Five (5) Years.

Application Forms for the advertised State Lands would be electronically accessed, filled out and submitted through the website of the Ministry Click here to apply now! not later than Friday, April 8, 2022.

The Public Raffle Draw for this set of applicants will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2022 in the presence of various stakeholders and members of the general public. It would also be streamed live on National Television and various Social Media Platforms.

Sierra Leoneans who have been allocated State Lands are not eligible to apply for this opportunity, which aims at ensuring equitable access to land for the people. 

The Ministry is in the process of identifying more plots of land for other sectors or works of life in the coming months.

It is of significance to note that the 200 Winners of the first land raffle draw have received their offer letters, site plans and taken to their various plots of land at Upper Allen Town.

By Kembay Sierra Leoneans and other non citizens residents in Sierra Leone were shocked over a statements made by the ousted United States of America Ambassador, David Reimer in a local Radio broadcast on Thursday 17th August, 2023.
