Turkish Ambassador Pays Follow-up visit to IGP on PIKM Regulation By Kembay Police Headquarters George Street Freetown, Wednesday 28th February, 2024 Her Excellency the Turkish Ambassador to Sierra Leone, Madam Sibel Erkan has visited the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mr. William Fayia Sellu to know the SLP stands on the Police Coordination and Cooperation Center (PIKM), ahead of the 5-6 May and 15-17 July, 2024 OIC meetings in Banju and Yaounde respectively.  In her presentations, Her Excellency Madam Erkan discloses that, her visit was to know if the SLP is interested in being part of the Police Coordination and Cooperation Center (PIKM) establishment following the 13th Summit  heads of States and Government of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). The motorway between Kono and Guinea is currently under a massive construction. President Bio and his cabinet are to be commended.

President Julius Maada Bio recently launched the construction of the Koidu-Guinea Border Road. During the program, the president stated that once the work is completed, it will open up market space.

As you can see in the photos, work on a $94 million 78-kilometer border route between Koidu and Guinea is well underway.
This is what Groupe GUICOPRES Managing Director Youssouf D. Kamara had to tell the President during the launch.
"I can guarantee you, Your Excellency, that we will perform an excellent job on this road at a speed that the people of Sierra Leone would appreciate," the corporation says, and it is working toward that goal.

Ing. Amara Kanneh, Director General of the Sierra Leone Roads Authority, also stated that the road project will be completed within the next three years.
