"Freetown Mayor is a thief" Sylvia O. Blyden

Dr. Sylvia O. Blyden, the proprietor of the Awareness Times Newspaper, has openly referred to the mayor of Freetown as "Tiffy Tiffy," which translates directly into English as a notorious robber. She also maintains that the ACC is still investigating three additional files against the current mayor.

"TIFFY TIFFY MAYOR YVONNE AKI-SAWYERR HAS 4 MORE OPEN FILES AT THE ANTI CORRUPTION COMMISSION As ACC recovers 187,904,803.00 Leones stolen by Freetown Mayor and closes 1 out of 5 Active Files_

By Awareness Times Newspaper.

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has on 23rd August 2022 closed down one(1) out of five(5) Active Files of Investigation ongoing against the corrupt Mayor of Freetown Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr (aka Tiffy Tiffy Mayor). Credible sources inform Awareness Times Newspaper that the file now closed is just one out of five active files of corruption by Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr that is currently under investigation.
Only one of five Files have been closed. That file was closed after the ACC recovered the sum of One Hundred and Eighty Seven Million, Nine Hundred and Four Thousand, Eight Hundred and Three Leones (Le187,904,803.00) cash, being monies which Lara Taylor-Pearce, the Auditor General had listed down as having been stolen from the meagre Freetown City Council (FCC) funds and then inappropriately given to a close friend of Freetown Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr.

Lara Taylor-Pearce has been strongly accused of turning a blind eye to other serious corruption misdeeds of Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr but however, the theft of the money given to the friend of the Mayor was so glaring that even Taylor-Pearce was forced to flag it down as money to be immediately refunded back to the poor people of Freetown.

The news of the repayment of the stolen funds has been joyously received by all well-meaning Sierra Leone citizens especially Freetownians.

The information of the recovery was given out in a Press Release from the ACC on Friday 26th August 2022.

The stolen cash from FCC resources were looted under the instructions of the Mayor who then used it to have her friend travel with her overseas under a completely bogus title of "Head of the Mayor’s Delivery Unit".

After Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr was caught red-handed, she then called up a Council meeting to give *retroactive legitimacy* to such a bogus title. When a seasoned Local Councillor, by the name of Abioseh Agnes Wilson, raised an alarm on such a retroactive procedure, Councillor Abioseh was swiftly removed from committees as punishment for daring to advise the Mayor against such a criminally minded attempt to cover up.

Emboldened by a laissez faire attitude towards her corruption, initially the Mayor had refused to pay the stolen monies back. Instead she had travelled the world seeking sympathy and spreading all kinds of lies and untruths.

However, she has now had a recent change of mind and negotiated with the ACC for the money to be repaid by "Interested Persons".

The public however may recall that in a Media Release dated 11th May 2022 from the ACC, it was stated that the Commission had concluded investigations into the FCC; relating to issues highlighted on the Council in the 2019 Auditor General’s Report concerning payments of Council funds to a non-council staff in a manner that contravened the Local Government Act of 2004 and other regulations relating to the utilization and management of public funds and resources.

The ACC therefore recommended a civil recovery process.  With the payment of the aforesaid sum of money, the civil recovery process has been completed and the file has now been closed.

However, credible sources inform this newspaper that there are now at least four(4) other active Files of corruption investigating the Mayor which are still opened at the Anti Corruption Commission.

These files include investigations into a secret bank account that the Mayor opened at Rokel Commercial Bank to corruptly swindle Donor Funds meant for the people of Sierra Leone.

What this all means is that the Mayor of Freetown, TiffyTiffy Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr, is still under investigation by the Anti Corruption Commission.

Dr. John Idriss Lahai, the whistle-blower for fake degrees is "Social Medially dead". If you recall, in the year 2022, Dr. John Idriss Lahai, a whistle-blower who exposed a phony degree, attracted the attention of every patriotic Sierra Leonean. His activity came to light after it was found that numerous Sierra Leoneans had received honorary PhDs from a Waterloo, Western Rural District postsecondary institution that was not accredited. Even well-known Sierra Leoneans, including the previous Inspector General of Police, were given honorary PhDs by the university known as Dominion University. When it was determined that the aforementioned university lacks the integrity to grant such a credential, the IG subsequently declined the offer. He then began to draw attention from people from all

A scammer from Sierra Leone has been captured by Guinean police.

The person in the picture is actually Abdulai Jalloh, despite the fact that he is identified as a lecturer from Njala University under the name of Dr. Kanu. In early January of this year, he posted in a WhatsApp group in Kambia that he had scholarship chances and could help people acquire government pin codes, among other things, but that the offer was only valid for those from the South and east.   Someone sent him NLe1,500 for overseas study without realizing he was a scammer.  The scammer claimed that the entire application process for the scholarship cost 3,000 New Leone.  Later, the contacted person realized that he was not who he had been representing himself to be, and he immediately blocked the victim of his syndicate.  He once more perpetrated the same crime against Molai, another individual, and someone else.  In the pretense of an international scholarship, he demanded 3000 New Leones from each person. He accepted the cash and fled without telling them where he was.  The m
